Whilst Daren Armour netted for his fourth in four games in the 20th minute,it was Conor Hagan who sent the Whites on their way on 17 minutes.

Seconds after Phil Matthews had held a free-kick from Mark Roy, the ball was swept up the pitch, Hagan cut inside and fired home the opener.

Armour headed in to make it two and things looked ominous for Tommy Leeman's side. They did however come close to pulling one back on 25 minutes, former Whites' striker David Wright slipping the ball past Matthews from 25 yards out, but whilst the ball ran towards the goal, Gareth McKeown had ample time to run back and clear.

On 41 minutes the game was effectively over, Andrew Waterworth running into the box and firing past Andrew Fox.

Paul Kirk brought all three subs on in the 57th minute but by then the game was over.The Welders had a few half-chances but Phil Matthews was not going to be beaten on the day.
