Lisburn Distillery fell to their first defeat in ten outings at the hands of Coleraine.Recent form suggested that this would be a close encounter and it was.

The Whites dominated the opening twenty minutes before Coleraine then had all the pressure in the remaining fifteen minutes.Conor Hagan netted his seventh of the season to put the Whites in front on eight minutes. Damien McLaughlin broke in behind the defence and as Coleraine keeper O'Hare came out to challenge, the ball broke right, to Hagan, who fired in from close range.

The Whites strung a number of moves together but couldn't convert, and Coleraine equalised on 31 minutes.Darren Cassidy surged down the left flank and put in a dangerous cross. Phil Matthews saved Ciaran Ferry's header but the ball fell to Darren Boyce, unmarked at the back post and his angled drive hit the net.

Coleraine hit the Whites on counter-attacks in the second period as the Whites pushed forward in search of another goal and they lost out on 76 minutes. Paul Muir rose to challenge a Coleraine player and he fell to the ground injured, clearly holding his head, but replacement referee Frankie Hiles, elected to let play carry on and the home side opted not to put the ball out of play. With Muir out of position, Wayne Buchanan was pulled left, the ball was slipped inside and Coleraine midfielder John Neill scored what turned out to be the winner.

The Whites though had ample opportunities to pull goals back - Marty Verner had blazed over before Neill's strike, he was then denied by the feet of O'Hare, John Martin saw O'Hare save his shot at the near post and McLaughlin headed over - but they didn't.

A disappointing defeat, but an opportunity to make up for it when the Whites travel to Coleraine again, next week in the Fifth Round of this season's Irish Cup.

We lost this one because we couldn't put away our chances and believe me we will learn from that!
