It's back into the semi-finals of the Irish Cup for the Whites, after an absence of six years (v Glentoran in 2001), following this resounding victory.

There were five changes in the side from last week's game and Andy Waterworth went close on six minutes, Crues keeper Neil Armstrong down to block the striker's run.

It was scrappy stuff early on but Crusaders hit the bar on 15 minutes, David Larmour's header going over.Nine minutes later, Waterworth got past Andy Hunter, staying on his feet, and from the bye-line he laid the ball across the goal mouth and Darren Armour tucked it away The Whites began to get on top, Armstrong came out to punch out Stuart Thompson's cross and then Armour had a shot blocked.

Stephen Shaw who scored against the Whites here earlier in the season volleyed over before the save of the game from Armstrong on 35 minutes - he got his fingertips on the ball to keep out a volley from Waterworth.

Just as they had done in the recent League game, Crusaders came out strongly after the break and the Whites were under pressure before they moved further ahead on 52 minutes after former Whites player Alain Emerson handled inside the penalty box.

Armour gave Armstrong no chance from the kick and the Whites were in the semis five minutes later. Waterworth outpaced Jeff Spiers and Hunter and beat Armstrong at the near post.

After that it was damage limitation time for Stephen Baxter's men - Waterworth broke clear again but this time Armstrong saved, Francis Murphy sent a long range effort over, substitute Aaron Johnston was denied by Armstrong, but number four did come on 73 minutes. Armour pushed the ball into Waterworth, he knocked it to Murphy and the ball whistled into the back of the net from some twenty yards out.

Paul Kirk made two substitutions and the Whites eased back and were through although Stephen McBride scored an excellent consolation goal with a few minutes left.

        Paul Kirk - Lisburn Distillery

'I thought that some of our football in the second half was really good, our finishing was clinical.I am delighted to be in the semi-finals'

       Stephen Baxter - Crusaders

'The difference in the two teams to-day was the finishing, the clinical finishing of Distillery and our inability to score goals because we created enough good chances we played good football but we were caught on the break
