300812 Whites appoint Sinclair in Academy role


Lisburn Distillery is delighted to announce the appointment of Billy Sinclair as Academy Co-Ordinator.

With the Lisburn Junior Invitational League and Irish FA’s Youth Leagues new seasons about to begin this weekend, the Whites are pleased to have secured the services of the former Linfield, Cliftonville and Sligo Rovers Manager.

Billy will report to the club’s First Team Manager and Youth Academy Head of Development Tim McCann and he is looking forward to sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience assisting in the Academy.
 
The ex-Chelsea midfielder has recently been involved with 'Football Lifeline' working with young people to help them develop an interest in the game and perhaps progress on to study for coaching qualifications.   
 
We welcome Billy to Lisburn Distillery.


The Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy continues to grow with teams from every level from Youth, U17, U16 etc down to U11 and in addition there are Mini-Soccer teams beneath that.

The Youth Academy, run by a Youth Academy Committee  has its’ own dedicated website which you can find here. It carries a wide range of news, rfixtures, results, eports and other information that relates specifically to the Youth Academy,so please check it out regularly.

230912 Youth Academy secretary sought


Lisburn Distillery is seeking to appoint someone to the role of Academy Secretary to assist in the running of the clubs youth programme.

 

This is a voluntary position and main roles include:

 

         Maintenance of player-database

         Liaising with academy  coaching staff

         Attending and representing the club at Lisburn Junior Invitational League meetings (once per        month during season)

         Attending meetings of the LDFC Academy Committee (approx once per month)

         Liaising with club secretary and Finance officer on any relevant business

         Being a point of contact for all academy enquiries by email and telephone

          carrying out any other general admin duties

311012 David Irwin: new Academy Secretary


David Irwin has been appointed to the position of Academy Secretary at Lisburn Distillery Football Club.
 
David is a familiar face at the club and as well as having been part of the Academy’s coaching staff, he is also a former youth and Second team player.


He will work alongside the committee and contribute to the day to day running of the club’s youth set-up.
 
We welcome David to his new role.


191112 Hutton Tiles sponsor U9s


Lisburn Distillery is delighted that Hutton Tiles are sponsoring the U9 team through kit sponsorship this season.

100213 Mini-Soccer Co-Ordinator


Simon Wragg (pictured below) has been appointed as the club’s new Mini-Soccer Co-Ordinator.


Simon is a familiar face at Lisburn Distillery having previously worked as a Development Coach at the Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy, and more recently was coaching at Mickleover Sports FC in England.


His first aim is to concentrate on helping the club develop new mini-soccer teams at the Under 11 and Under 9 age groups for the 2013/14 season to play small-sided games.

In addition, Simon has also agreed to join the club’s Academy Committee to assist in the daily
management of the clubs youth set-up and is looking forward to the new role – welcome back Simon


170213 Mini-Soccer coaches sought


Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy are currently recruiting new coaches for their Mini-Soccer teams. The new teams at Under 11 and Under 9 will play in small sided games next season with a view to player development.

080513 Mini-Soccer Open Day dates


Lisburn Distillery is holding Open Days for its’ Mini-Soccer teams shortly.


These are being held to recruiting new players for next season.


The Open Days will be held for boys born in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 at the grass pitches of Laurelhill Community College, Lisburn, on the following Saturdays;


18th May

25th May

01st June.


Registration is between 10:00 - 10:30am and coaching sessions run from 10:30 am - 11:30am.


Mini-Soccer focuses on player development and fun whilst learning. Everyone is welcome and it's free.

Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy is holding open training sessions to recruit new players for the 2013/4 season.


The sessions take place at the grass pitches at Laurelhill Community College, Lisburn, and run from 7pm to 8-30pm on the dates below;


Under 12s (boys born in 2002) - Tuesday 21st and Tuesday 28th May
